Take the time to not only review the sales page, but also the guarantee for the buyer. Is it a money back guarantee with customer service available as well?  Put yourself in the shoes of your targeted visitor and honestly ask yourself if you would buy from this merchant.

It’s also highly recommend that you actually use the product or service yourself before promoting it. This helps a great deal in promotion as you have first hand experience with it and are not just going by the sales page alone.

Contact the merchant and ask any questions you may have about the product. Do they have a specific support team that you can contact for help as an affiliate? merchants who are serious about their business and their affiliates will take your relationship seriously and want to help you in any way they can.

Marketing materials

Payment options
Don’t forget to read the payment terms and be sure that there is a payout option that works for you. If you’re choosing an independent vendor with their own program (not a network like Clickbank.com), then the payout structure and terms could widely cary across different affiliate programs.
